Solar Consumer Goods
Ah, fun with gadgetseverybody's James Bond nowadays! But did James Bond sport solar clothing or drive a solar car? These products would probably have been just a little too uncool for James-and fossil fuels blow up so much better. For us non-secret agents, there are lots of neat solar gadgets out there and more coming on the market every day.
For example, a lot of people may have solar lights in their gardens, but there are other solar powered garden products that are genuinely useful and fascinating as well.
Some recent products have come out that use solar integrated into fabric, to varying degrees of success:
- Solar clothing is interesting, but still relatively impractical for most areas.
- Solar handbags and backpacks might be a bit more useful.
- The solar patio umbrella is really quite ingenious.
Other solar toys can be an inexpensive, fun way to introduce you and your kids to solar.
Finally, portable solar power is a great way to get introduced to solar power for uses as diverse as solar for your RV, for your boat or for camping and hiking.
