Solar Garden Products

A number of solar garden products, besides solar lights can liven up your garden and yard in unique ways:

The solar moler, from SolarPassion, vibrates when the sun shines on it, driving pesky moles (and other rodents, we assume) to find another place in the sun. You simply stick it in the ground (very much like a solar lantern), and it runs day and night, powered by a NiCad battery. It retails for approximately $40 U.S.

A solar powered mosquito repeller is similar in concept (though not in looks). It sends out a sonic wave warding off the pesky critters. It's available from realgoods.com (among others) and it works great, say fans.

The solar powered sunflower, from Solar World, spins in a unique pattern when the sun shines on it-a sort of solar powered horizontal pinwheel.

A number of solar fountains are available from SolarPassion. These range from a fountain with a sizable (.8 square foot) panel to a unique floating solar fountain that looks very cool and aerates your pond water at the same time. These range in price from $120 to $70.

Solar tunes are available from SolarWorld.com. Whenever the sun shines, you'll be entertained by Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer."
