Crystal Bay also makes a solar powered energy kit, excellent for educating your kids and yourself in solar basics. All of these items retail for under $20.

The solar energy project is another solar powered energy kit, from SolarWorld.com. The kit provides kids with a simple experiment in using a solar panel to power an electric motor. The kit also comes with an informative booklet, and it retails for $11.95.
